Privacy
Privacy policy
This is the website of Monirith Khieu, Zurich, Switzerland (contact: [email protected]). I am responsible for the personal data described here. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Reading the site
There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and scripts from the jsDelivr network, which receive your IP address when they serve those files.
Booking a call
When you book a call at monirith.com/book, you give your name, email address and time zone, and optionally your organisation and what you would like to talk about. This is used only to arrange and hold the call: to put it in my calendar, to send you an invitation and a confirmation, and to let you cancel it. It is stored in a database on Cloudflare and kept for up to twelve months after the call, unless we go on to work together.
The video call link is created by Google Meet, or by Jitsi Meet if Google Calendar is unavailable. Emails are sent through Purelymail.
Google user data
The booking page connects to one Google account only: my own. With my permission, it uses the Google Calendar API to read when I am busy, so you are only offered free times, and to create, and when you cancel delete, the event for your call with its Google Meet link. Google then sends you the invitation.
It does not access the calendar of anyone who books, and it does not read the contents of my other events, only their busy times. Data received from Google APIs is used only to provide this booking feature. It is not sold, not shared with anyone else, not used for advertising and not used to train any AI model. The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sharing
Your data is not sold or given to anyone. It is processed only by the services named above (Cloudflare, Google, Purelymail, and Jitsi where used), each for its part of running the site and the call. Some of them may process data outside Switzerland, under their own safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or to the data protection authority where you live.
